Having founded BDL in 1997, Louis  has steered the group to major success over the last 10 years. Having served as Chairman of IHG’s influential, ‘UK Owner’s Committee’ and on the IAHI Board for the EMEA region.

Stuart McCaffer – Vice Chairman

Instrumental in raising over £500 million of equity & debt finance for BDL, Stuart is one of the company founders and has successfully overseen hotel portfolio & single asset deals. He has excellent relationships with Europe’s largest funders & private equity houses.

Stewart Campbell - Managing Director

In 2011, Stewart took up his position as Managing Director at BDL Management Ltd. He joined BDL from PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2003 and joined the Board as Finance Director in 2005. Prior to his current role Stewart was Chief Financial Officer since 2009. He is responsible for managing the growth of the company alongside the existing hotel portfolio.

Neil Taylor – Chief Operations Officer

Neil has worked in the hospitality industry for over 25 years and has held several senior positions at BDL. He joined BDL in 2000 with vast experience of opening and operating hotels across various IHG brands. Neil is a share holding Director.

Nikhil Gupta - Commercial Director

Nikhil joined BDL in 2002 and is responsible for Sales, Marketing and Revenue.  He is currently Chairman of IHG’s UK Marketing Forum and sites on both IHG’s Global Distribution and Sales & Marketing Committees. Nik is a share holding Director.

Ross Morrow – Property and Development Director

Having joined BDL in 2000, Ross has been responsible for BDL’s development.  He is a Graduate Architect, Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Builder, with wide ranging technical skills.  He is also responsible for facilities management, project management and procurement for BDL. Ross is a share holding Director.

John Stuart – Financial Director

John joined the Group in 2010 as Divisional Financial Director and was quickly promoted to Financial Director in 2011. John has a wealth of experience in the finance sector and was previously Financial Director of the McKever Group. John has overall responsibility for operational financial aspects of the Group.  

David Thompson - Non Executive Director

A founding shareholder of BDL, David spent most of his career with Hilton Hotels. Holding the positions of Operations Director and Managing Director of BDL while overseeing its expansion, he took up a non-executive position in 2007.
