BDL Hotel Group was formed in 1997
to develop and operate new build branded hotels. Known in the trade
as 'The Name Behind the Name'. BDL opened its first hotel at
Heathrow Airport in 2000 and operated a portfolio of 27 properties across the UK.
Its mission is to deliver above average returns on investment
to shareholders and investors and to drive above average profits
from its management contracts.
BDL
Management is owned and steered by a group of high energy individuals with
extensive experience of property development and hospitality
operations.
The Group
successfully managed the three distinct platforms of its business,
the owned estate, joint ventures and management contracts. In 2005,
BDL managed over £250 million of assets in three quality tiers,
from budget to deluxe hotels.
The BDL Group is backed by some of the UK's major financial institutions
including Bank of Scotland, Royal Bank of Scotland, Allied Irish
Bank, Anglo Irish and Irish Nationwide.
BDL
Management Ltd is the management arm of the business and has opened and operated
a portfolio of twenty hotels to date. BDL
seeks further management contracts with developers and investors.
BDL Management offers a range of contracts from
standard turnover and profit contracts to part equity joint ventures.
BDL is in a position to offer skills in project feasibility and
development, hotel launch support, hotel management skills, revenue
and sales and marketing management, human resources, food and beverage
planning and control, and property management.
BDL
has a proven track record in delivering global brands such as Crowne Plaza,
Holiday Inn and Express by Holiday Inn (Intercontinental Hotel Group); Ramada
Encore (Wyndham Hotel Group). BDL chooses
the optimum brand for the location and project,
negotiates the license agreement, interprets the brand standards,
implements the standards and maximizes the 'System' resources.
